Beliefs

We subscribe to the historic faith of the Christian Church as expressed in the Nicene Creed and we support the Vineyard USA Statement of Faith as revised and amended.

Jesus:  At our church we love to say, “God is good… all the time!” And we can say that with conviction because God is perfectly represented in the person of Jesus Christ (the second Person of the Trinity). So if you want to know the heart and character of God, the best place to start is by reading Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Bible: We have a high view of the Scriptures, preaching from them in an in-depth (but accessible) way every Sunday. We believe the entire Bible — both the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired Word of God and it was written by men who wrote down exactly what God wanted to communicate to us.

The Theology and Practice of the Kingdom of God: The #1 subject Jesus talked about more than any other was the “Kingdom of God” (a.k.a., the Kingdom of Heaven). In fact it was mentioned 96 times in the 4 gospels!!! And yet, it’s a topic that gets ignored in American Christianity. Well, we want to change that at our church!

Experiencing God:  We welcome God’s personal presence, we seek to be attentive to his presence, and we value the passionate pursuit of his presence in order to respond in obedience to His initiatives.

Reconciling Community:  We must actively work to break down barriers of race, culture, gender, social class, and ethnicity.

Compassionate Ministry:  We lean toward the lost, the poor, the outcast, and the outsider with the compassion of Jesus. Ministry in Jesus’ name should be expressed in concrete ways through the local church.

Everyone Gets to Play:  Ministry is for everybody.  Not just for elders or those who know the Scriptures well or teaching Pastors.  Ministry is for every man, woman and child.

Encounter | Equip | Engage

We hope that you don't just "go to church" but that you ENCOUNTER God in a powerful way, get EQUIPPED in your faith, to then go out and ENGAGE the world with the love of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.
