Dan & Kellie Kopp

Co-founders

Dan & Kellie felt called by God back in 2010 to plant this church. As co-founders, they wear many hats (as you can imagine!). Dan serves as Lead Pastor and does a lot of preaching on Sundays. Kellie serves as the Prayer Director and co-leads our Mission Women ministry. In addition, they are both part of our church's Advisory Board. They have lived in Shelby Township ever since they got married (back in 2004) and are the proud parents of three incredible girls -- Faith, Evelyn, and Elizabeth (ages 16, 14, and 12).  Dan & Kellie have a passion to see the next Great Awakening in America start right here in southeastern Michigan! In their pursuit for revival, they both went on a mission trip to Brazil -- Dan when in 2021 and Kellie went in 2022 -- where they saw God move in amazing ways! God is no respecter of persons and He is no respecter of geography... so may God do in the metro-Detroit region what He did in Brazil!

Lisa Schlinke

Associate pastor

At the Mission, Lisa loves supporting the Sunday volunteer teams, coordinating the small groups, promoting ways to serve in the community as well as leading the benevolence committee. When she is not engaged in one of those activities, you can find her digging into a variety of biblical topics (rabbit trails are welcome) and teaching at any opportunity presented her. She can’t wait to meet you and hear about your faith journey!

Katie Moore

Mission Kids Director

Katie grew up in the Lutheran church in Port Huron, Michigan and attended church regularly. It wasn’t until attending college at Michigan State University, where she fell in love with Jesus and began walking faithfully with Him. She has been married to her husband, Andy, since 2011 and together have three sons, Jayden, Camden, and Ethan. Be sure to say hi when you come to visit, she can’t wait to meet you!

Leo Humbach

Worship Director

I joined The Mission in November of 2022. Prior to that, I led worship for churches around the Macomb and Oakland County area ever since I was in my late teens. King David has always been a huge inspiration to me. He not only was a man after God’s own heart, but was also a musician. Throughout David’s lifetime, he faced so many highs and lows, but always kept his focus on the sovereignty of God. I genuinely believe that the Lord gave us music as a tangible way to enter His presence in an incredibly deep way. Three of my favorite bible verses are Psalm 23, Romans 8:28, and Jeremiah 29:11. I have three beautiful children and have been a public school music teacher for 13 years. 

Alan Lubnow

Building Manager & Webmaster

Alan and his family have been a part of The Mission Church since the preview service days, just prior to the official launch. His wife, Melissa, and their two children also serve at The Mission on various teams. Since 2008 he has worked full-time as a mechanical engineer. He recently completed a bachelor's degree at Colorado State University with a major in IT and minor in project management.

Jenn Reichel

Bookkeeper

Jenn has been volunteering at the Mission since nearly its inception and has been a valuable member of our staff since 2018. She is an “eastsider” born and raised.  Jenn loves the seasons that Michigan gives us and the outdoors are her favorite place to connect with Jesus.  She has a passion for serving people, loves being a wife, aunt and a cat mom.
