MISSION Youth

WHY MISSION YOUTH MATTERS

Mission Youth (6th to 12th graders) meets each Sunday during the 11am service. All youth will join corporate worship in the sanctuary and then head to the Youth Room for our video/discussion, prayer, and communion. Snacks will always be provided!

In September 2023, we began using an all-new curriculum called HYFI (published by LifeWay). The student version of this curriculum is geared toward middle schoolers and high schoolers with a biblical focus on their identity in Christ -- who God says they are -- while equipping them to reject the lies the world is throwing their way.

The pre-teen and teen years are some of the toughest years of our lives. That was true a generation ago and things are much harder nowadays. Kids are growing up faster than ever. And the culture is constantly bombarding them with messages that steer them away from Christian beliefs and values. That’s why a church’s youth ministry is so critical.

Our goal with Mission Youth is to help pre-teens and teens move beyond being Christians by default (because they were born in a Christian home) to owning their faith and living it out in a way that makes an impact in middle school and high school. And in the process, we aim to prepare them to thrive spiritually in their college years.

BEYOND SUNDAYS

Our teens continuously show their love for Jesus all week long. The participate in regular serving opportunities outside of our walls, do life together, and even serve on various teams at The Mission! Beyond that they go on fun outings, are members of small groups, and just love being together in general.
